Your kitchen is the heart of your home, but what happens when it’s no longer functional or stylish? A family of three with number 4 on the way came to us with an outdated and cramped kitchen that needed a complete refreshment.
Our team at Wayside Kitchens worked with them to create a kitchen that was not only beautiful and modern but also functional for their family’s needs. The client wanted to keep a vintage feel for this 1970s Cape style home located in Westford, Massachusetts.
The old kitchen was dark, and it made the room feel small and cramped. It had a large closet by the back door that offered little storage to the kitchen. We were also restricted by the layout and needed to keep the same footprint. We all felt that knocking down walls wasn’t a good solution for the Cape style home.
Our client had terrific ideas and was open to suggestions to maximize the storage and countertops. We added an island with a microwave drawer, storage, and for engaging the young children in the cooking. We used at Shiloh Cabinetry’s Hanover door and drawer fronts, inset construction, and used Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray color for the kitchen cabinets paint as it is part of Shiloh’s paint color options. The countertops and full backsplash are the natural, honed White Marble to complete the gorgeous look. Wayside Kitchens managed the kitchen remodel to ensure the new space is perfect for cooking, entertaining family and friends, and spending time together. Look at these photos for inspiration and to see how we transformed this family’s kitchen into a space they will love for years to come. We can do the same for your kitchen.
